New York Giants outside linebacker Brian Burns sacks Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith for a 13-yard loss during Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season.

Pass rusher Brian Burns is the Giants’ lone Pro Bowl selection and was named a starter, while the Jets do not have one.

Brian Burns might not be able to overcome the stench of the Giants’ 2-13 record and Myles Garrett’s incredible season to win NFL Defensive Player of the Player, but he is headed back to the Pro Bowl. Burns was the only Giant named to the Pro Bowl games.

With the triumph, the Giants won for the first time since Brian Daboll was fired in November, snapping a nine-game losing streak. They also prevailed for the first time on the road since last season in Seattle, breaking a slide of 12 straight games.

That’s a total shutdown of three Giants coaches — Joe Judge, Brian Daboll, and Mike Kafka.

While Burns is having a successful season, he's part of a 2-12 team that may "earn" the No. 1 overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft by finishing the campaign with the league's worst overall record.
